Desert Fox Raptor Gen2 LED Spot Light Kit

The new Desert Fox Raptor LED Spot Light Kit represents an evolution of the original Raptor series.

Now with added features, yet remaining a cost effective lighting solution developed specifically for motorcycles.

 

The new Raptors now have an intelligent digital control box that produces 3 different beam colours to suit varying riding conditions:

• 5700K White high beam
• 3000K Yellow low beam (ideal for riding in fog and rain or as daylight running lights)
• 4000K White High beam and yellow low beam

 

All at a very bright lumens output of 1550 lumens per light (3600 lumens in total), yet consuming a meagre 20W per unit.

Such a light output far exceeds the performance of a typical 100W halogen bulb, not only in sheer brightness but also in greatly reduced power consumption.

A traditional halogen spotlight set would consume 200W (2 x100W) while the Raptors only consume 40W (2 x20w)

Or put another way, a lot less strain on your bikes charging system.

 

Features of the Desert Fox LED Spot Lights:

• • Extremely compact design which allows for fitting in restricted areas e.g. behind body panels
  • A proprietary reflector technology that provides the ultimate focus for long range driving beam projection.
  • A robust laser cut glass lens with a light transmittance of greater than 92%. Most manufacturers use a plastic acrylic lens.
  • All circuitry is shock resistant, important for motorcycle use.
  • A unique copper PCB board for rugged off road use. Other manufacturers do not use copper often resulting in a cracked board when used off road.
  • Weatherproof connectors, silicone wiring and stainless steel fittings.
  • A unique gland to ensure wiring is stable and will not crack in extreme conditions e.g. when turning the handlebars over the lifetime of your bike.
  • Rugged aluminum housing for optimal durability and heat dissipation.
  • Thermally protected with oversized cooling fins. Many spot lights have inadequate cooling resulting in the LED losing output power.
  • The lumens output is stable & does not diminish thanks to the large cooling fins.
  • High power latest generation multi colour switching LED with a combined light output of 2600 Lumens.
  • Reverse voltage protected.
  • Plug and Play. No cutting of existing wiring is required. Simply connect to your battery with the supplied wiring kit.
